Instep systems/pay policy 2012

8:35AM February 8 2012

Instep 2012.

Dear All,

Instep is moving into a period of change – At the time of writing I am in consultation to take Instep into a negotiated partnership with Brockhill, but as a separate business. This will not directly affect the classes – other than we hope that as we evolve we may be able to do more for more people!

To make this transition it is necessary to organize our systems in a more efficient way to facilitate the implementation of our business plan: Specifically I want to be clear that all monies will be taken at a central point at specific times when administrative support is available

Registration:

Newcomers to Instep will be taken into classes following an application.

It is no longer appropriate to start members without this application, as we want to keep classes at a reasonable size so that we can properly attend to current members.
Following application  you  will be contacted with a start date or be advised  of a position on to a waiting list.  This waiting list will be re visited regularly.

Please let us know if your child is leaving so that we can release their place

Parents should ensure all children are registered every week for health and safety reasons.

Payment Policy:

All fees are due at the START of each term (Week 1 or 2). Fees are paid for a term in advance. This now applies to Company Class members and also to Thursday Class members.

We will commence Thursday Classes on week 1 of each term and Company Classes on week 2  as published for the remainder of this academic year.

Fees must be paid to a central place – (registration desk) at the start of an Instep session and no longer to the Brockhill student office or to teachers .

Failure to make payment as above may result in a child’s place being withdrawn.

If children start mid -way through the term they will be asked to pay a % of that termly fee.

If children do not attend for two weeks without prior notice we reserve the right to withdraw the place – which will be given to a child on the waiting list.

All payments will be logged on the payment register and you will be given a receipt as a record.

Production Fund by Company members ( Wednesday Classes only)

Company members are asked to make a single annual contribution – Production fund payment towards the costs of the annual show. This can be paid in installments or a single payment BEFORE the May Day weekend.  (As per contract)

Concessions:

As from September 2012 there will be no sibling concessions.

Instep Bursary

Instep works hard to secure funding to run a bursary scheme for Company members. This year we have been able to subsidize 6 company places for the year. Our bursary fund is now depleted.

The Bursary fund is only available if funds are forthcoming and in any event must be re- applied for each year.

The Bursary is awarded to those who can produce evidence of financial hardship such as Family Credits or Free school meals. We reserve the right to withdraw the bursary if children do not attend sessions.

Recipients of the bursary are obliged to let us know if circumstances change so that this fund can be directed where it is genuinely needed.

Looked after children can access funding for extra curricula activity via their schools through the Pupil premium. This may cover Instep fees.

In kind Support

Some students are able to access a reduced price for classes through support “in kind” which means helping with our little ones! There are limited places for this arrangement and this is always through consultation  with Jackie Mortimer.

There are currently no places for this support , since we are at maximum strength.

Payment by Installment:

We recognize that some families may need to plan to pay by installments. In which case they may pay 50% of the fee in week 1 and the remainder BEFORE the end of that term.

If a child leaves mid term  or does not attend  regularly the second installment will still be owed.

Please request to pay by installments by letter or at registration desk .
