The Mayakaras are a unique mixed age mixed gender company of dancers .
They are a Brockhill/Instep youth based group who work under the direction of Lila Dance. ( Abi Mortimer and Carrie Whitaker) Lila Dance are Creative Associates of The Point, Hampshire.

The success of the Mayakaras led us to consider ways of spreading the magic further!
The Iisanmaayas ( Little Magic Power) are the Mayakaras’ own company.
The iisanmaayas were formed to develop our “family ethos” with a group of students from age 8 to 18.

And so…. It came to our attention that the “Maya” experience was reaching an increasingly varied group of participants . This recognition brought us to consider the “gap” which emerged - we were not reaching the older generation.
